I want..........metal!

G'day & welcome to bb3.

We're a couple of blokes located in Melbourne, Australia who've decided to have a crack at producing some really beautiful machined aluminium mods for the affordable end of the Grado and Alessandro headphone ranges.

In particular, we've been prototyping aluminium cups & outer C-rings which would be a direct replacement for the standard items on Grado SR60i, SR80i, SR125i & Alessandro MS1i headphones. We aim to sell this as a kit for around ninety US dollars.

So, we could ramble on about how our clever design will improve the sound of your Grado's, but there'd be no truth in such a statement. Instead, all we can say is that our single goal from an audio perspective is to provide an acoustically transparent upgrade to the factory cups. Grado's already sound good, and there's no reason to mess with that.

Why the upgrade then? - Like a lot of people, we agree that sometimes its just nice to be the owner of a quality piece of gear. Both in functionality, and in form. With Grado's & Alessandro's the function is definitely already there. Spectacular sound at an affordable price point. In the "form" department however, we honestly believe that their plastic feel and appearance dramatically lessens the whole experience. This is a situation that we're setting out to remedy.
